2021 Wishbone Day

21 Wishbone Day.jpg

Every year on 6th May, people come together and celebrate Wishbone Day – an international awareness-raising day for Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) is a genetic condition that cause bones to break easily. OI is also known as “brittle bones”. A person is born with OI and will have OI throughout their lifetime.

We will be celebrating Wishbone Day on Thursday 6th of May.  On this day students will be given the opportunity to wear yellow.  Yellow has been chosen because it symbolizes optimism and carries the promise of a positive future.

This week, the Year 5L class will be dedicating their assembly item to his special event. To be advocates for this day, please come along to school wearing yellow on Thursday 6th May.
