2021 Welcome Back - Term 3

Welcome to the start of Term 3. Once again we return with a level of restrictions in place. It is hard to believe that each time we have a school holiday we end up with increased cases and restrictions or lock downs being implemented. Thankfully, we are back in schools and welcome all students back today. As a staff we look forward to the term ahead and working hard to help students reach and achieve their full potential.

Parents, I thank you for your support today in ensuring we meet Covid-19 mandatory mask wearing compliance. It was wonderful to see parents wearing masks whilst conducting school drop off. Current mask wearing requirements are in place until Friday when further advice will be given by the QLD Government and Chief Health Officer.

Staff are also required to wear masks however masks will be removed whilst teaching and supporting students in class and on the playground. As a staff we will continue to remind students to implement good health and hygiene practices through regular hand washing and sanitising. We also remind all members of the community of the important health directive that if we are sick or feeling unwell, we need to stay home and get tested.

Start of Term Prayer
Lord Jesus, we ask for your help as we begin this new term.
Allow us to experience Your presence in the many blessing You put before us.
Open our eyes to the new challenges and exciting opportunities that this new term brings.
Give us a generous spirit to be enthusiastic with our studies and courage to accept new opportunities.
Help us to be attentive to our teachers and let us experience Your presence in our friends.
Jesus, inspire us to do our best this term.
Amen.
