This term our Year 5 & 6 students have commenced preparations for this year’s Learning and Growing Expo. Due to current restrictions they will not be able to conduct the expo in the same way they did last year, however this has not dampened their enthusiasm but rather has provided an extra opportunity for students to communicate their important message through an online interactive webinar. In offering this year’s expo in this way the students and teachers have already had more classes express interest in joining this year’s expo. Keep up the excellent work
Year 5 & 6 as you prepare to teach students about the STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics involved in Agriculture. Last year 350 students participated in the Learning and Growing Expo and already in one week over 500 students have expressed interest in this year’s, “Out of the Box, Virtual Learning and Growing Expo.”

Earlier this year the school was nominated for the Peter Doherty Award for Excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education. As a school we were very excited to hear that we had been nominated for this award as we are very proud of the work of our students and teachers. Although we did not win the prize it gave us great confidence in the work we are doing to educate students in the STEM area. It has motivated us to continue to strive to make our Learning and Growing Expo a wonderful hands-on educational experience for our students, along with all students and teachers who choose to be involved.
