Detective Gillespie and Senior Constable Groube shared their knowledge with Grades 5 and 6 on Monday 18th March, about what defines cyberbullying. Cyberbullying needs to be both repetitive and online. Students watched a video on a student’s story about cyberbullying and then had a rich discussion around the consequences of cyberbullying, not only on the individual but the people around them. Bullying of any type can effect your life and create lasting damage. Students then had an activity where they were given questions and had to decide whether it was cyberbullying, bullying, not bullying or uncertain.
We sincerely thank Detective Sargent Gillespie and Senior Constable Groube for taking time out of their busy schedules to help our students understand cyberbullying.
